How a Taiwanese manufacturer (e.g. Acer) creates a Digital Product Passport, and how a consumer checks whether a laptop has ever been repaired. Delivered as a national platform on moenv.dpp.gs — operated by Sensoneo, framed by MOENV. Pilot sectors: electronics and batteries.

How the Taiwan DPP is delivered

National platform · chosen model

Sensoneo as the national DPP platform

MOENV adopts dpp.gs as the national DPP platform — operated by Sensoneo and framed by MOENV (brand, domain moenv.dpp.gs, governance). Sensoneo ingests and syncs Taiwan products via the MOENV DPP API; one passport record serves the Taiwan view and EU compliance.

01 · Onboarding

Register on the platform

The manufacturer / importer opens a tenant account.

Planned: pre-fill from RMS (producer EPR registration).
02 · Product

Create the product (electronics / battery)

Identifier (GTIN / EPC / UUID), model, materials, substances, energy data.

Planned: carbon footprint from CFP, EPR number from RMS.
03 · Compliance

Add compliance data

Battery / electronics fields, Declaration of Conformity, documents (some authority-only).

04 · Serial numbers

Per-unit identity

Each laptop and battery gets a serial number — for a unit-level passport.

05 · Publish

Generate QR + GS1 Digital Link

The QR is printed on the product / packaging. It resolves to the public passport.

06 · Live passport

Public passport is available

The passport renders in zh-TW and EN — product, materials, documents.

07 · Lifecycle

Repairs and end of life

An authorized service provider adds repair / refurbishment per serial; a recycler / authority records end-of-life.

08 · Reporting

Feed to national registers

The passport as a single source of data for reporting.

Planned: feed to RMS (EPR reporting) + CFP via MOENV open data API.

Learns whether and when the unit was repaired or refurbished — key for second-hand and refurbished sales.

04 · Authority / recycler

Extended view

Authorities and recyclers additionally see end-of-life records and non-public data (gated access).

Live parts run in the platform today (passport, QR / GS1, repair and end-of-life sections, manufacturer / service / authority / recycler roles, viewer in zh-TW).
