Your EU Declaration of Conformity — Your Brand, Your Clauses, Every Language
The EU Declaration of Conformity is a short legal document — but it has to carry your branding, say exactly what your legal team wants it to say, exist in whatever language the authority asks for, and stay in sync with the product. Retyping it in Word for every product, market and revision doesn't scale. So we built a DoC that is generated from your passport data and made yours: your logo and signature, your own clauses, reusable presets, 24 EU languages, and one tap from the QR.
Generated from data, not retyped
A Declaration of Conformity states, on the producer's responsibility, that the product (or packaging) meets the applicable EU rules — the model in Annex VIII for PPWR, and equivalents for other regulations. The trap is treating it as a document you hand-edit. Change a material, a recycled-content figure or a signatory and every hand-made copy is suddenly out of date.
Instead, the DoC is derived from the passport. Update the underlying data and the declaration regenerates — as a printable HTML/PDF and an editable Word file — with the assessment date and retention clock travelling with it. The per-layer data behind a PPWR DoC is exactly the structure this draws from.
Make it yours — branding
A DoC that carries a generic template header doesn't feel like yours. In the builder you set, once per company:
- Company logo in the header;
- the authorised signatory's signature image, name and function for the signature block;
- an accent colour that matches your brand;
- section toggles — show or hide parts of the document to fit the product.
A live preview shows the result as you go, so what you sign is what you saw.
Your own clauses
Legal and quality teams almost always want to add something the standard model doesn't cover — a scope note, a standard referenced, a limitation, a group statement. The builder lets you add custom free-text clauses that become part of the declaration, kept with the product rather than pasted in by hand each time.
Save it once — presets
Most producers issue the same kind of DoC again and again. So a configuration — branding, sections, clauses, regulation — can be saved as a named preset and reused across products. And when you need to issue many at once, batch-apply a preset to a set of products to generate and archive their DoCs in one pass, instead of one form at a time.
Beyond PPWR — pick the regulation
Not every declaration is a PPWR one. The builder lets you declare conformity under PPWR, the ESPR, the CE framework or the GPSR — the document adapts to the regulation you choose, so one tool covers packaging and the wider product, not just one rulebook.
Every EU language, on demand
The declaration must be provided in a language the authorities of the market understand. Sell across the EU and that effectively means any of the 24 official languages. Rather than commissioning translations per product, the DoC renders in every EU language on demand — the same data, localised — so an authority in any member state gets it in theirs, immediately.
One tap from the QR
A DoC buried in an email thread helps no one at the moment it's needed. An issued declaration can be surfaced on the public passport, so it's one tap from the QR on the product — and, for trade partners, an instantly shareable document rather than an attachment you have to dig out. The retention period (5 years single-use, 10 years reusable packaging) is kept with it.
